Crucible Clinical Logistics

Specimen transport and healthcare logistics built for clinical accountability.

Crucible Clinical Logistics is a Fortimmūt Ventures division designed to support healthcare organizations with specimen transport, scheduled clinical courier routes, documented handoffs, TDG-aware processes, privacy-conscious operations, and multi-site logistics coordination.

Clinical logistics is not ordinary courier work. Specimen transport sits between care delivery and diagnostic results. Timely pickup, correct handling, clear documentation, reliable routing, confidentiality, and escalation planning all matter.

Crucible was built to bring healthcare-informed structure to specimen movement, especially across care homes, clinics, laboratories, hospitals, rural sites, and multi-location healthcare organizations.

What We Support

Specimen Transport

Scheduled pickup and delivery of prepared specimens between healthcare sites, laboratories, hospitals, and receiving locations. Our model is built around fixed pickup windows, clear responsibility boundaries, upright transport, documented handoffs, and professional facility conduct.

Clinical Logistics Systems

Crucible supports route planning, dispatch coordination, pickup window design, operator readiness, site communication, exception reporting, and monthly quality review. The goal is not just to move items from one place to another. The goal is to build a dependable logistics system around healthcare needs.

Healthcare-Safe Operations

Specimen transport requires more than a driver and a vehicle. Crucible’s operating model includes TDG-aware transport expectations, confidentiality safeguards, infection prevention expectations, personnel screening, fit-for-work standards, and escalation procedures for delays, failed pickups, damaged packaging, spills, or receiving-site issues.

Why Crucible Exists

Healthcare organizations often operate across multiple sites, regions, and service environments. Care homes, rural facilities, community programs, laboratories, and hospitals all depend on small but critical logistics tasks happening correctly.

When specimen transport is inconsistent, resident care can be delayed. When documentation is weak, accountability suffers. When urgent requests are treated casually, clinical operations absorb the risk.

Crucible Clinical Logistics was created to close the gap between basic courier service and healthcare operations. Our model is designed for organizations that need specimen movement, clinical support logistics, and transport coordination handled with professionalism, structure, and accountability.

Operating Standards

Crucible Clinical Logistics is designed around practical healthcare logistics standards, including:

  • TDG certification requirements for assigned specimen transport personnel

  • Documented pickup and delivery processes

  • Upright specimen container transport

  • Site-specific pickup windows

  • Confidentiality agreements

  • Fit-for-work and facility access expectations

  • Infection prevention orientation

  • Clean vehicle and equipment expectations

  • No unrelated passengers, pets, smoking, vaping, personal errands, or unnecessary stops during active specimen transport

  • Exception reporting for failed pickups, delays, unsafe packaging, receiving-site issues, spills, damaged containers, or route disruptions

Our Approach

Crucible uses a managed-service model rather than casual courier availability.

That means healthcare clients can build around:

  • Scheduled pickup windows

  • Site-specific routing

  • Central coordination

  • Trained operators

  • Clear escalation pathways

  • Backup planning

  • Documented delivery confirmation

  • Quality assurance review

  • Scalable regional coverage

Routine service is separated from urgent, STAT, after-hours, weekend, holiday, regional, intercity, and special-handling requests so expectations stay clear and service does not become vague or uncontrolled.

Led by Healthcare Operations Experience

Fortimmūt Ventures was founded by Jarrett Chisholm, an Advanced Care Paramedic and healthcare operations professional based in Calgary, Alberta.

Jarrett brings nearly two decades of experience in emergency medical services, advanced care paramedicine, community paramedicine, interfacility transfer, clinical documentation, responder education, course development, and operational leadership.

His clinical work has included patient care and documentation workflows connected to hospital, community, and continuing-care environments, including Rockyview General Hospital, South Health Campus, and Complex Care Hub (Virtual Home Hospital) patient pathways. This experience has required disciplined attention to patient identification, documentation accuracy, transfer-of-care communication, specimen-related processes, time-sensitive clinical handoffs, confidentiality, and coordination with receiving facilities, laboratories, and healthcare teams.

This background shapes Fortimmūt’s operating standard. Healthcare logistics must be documented, accountable, timely, and clinically aware. A specimen, form, package, or handoff may look simple from the outside, but failures in labelling, communication, timing, escalation, or custody can create real operational and clinical risk.

Fortimmūt Ventures builds service models around that reality: clear systems, defined responsibilities, risk-aware planning, professional communication, and execution that holds under pressure.
